MC MC It was the splendid Trevor Eve.
JK2006 I really didn't like Sheen in The Queen though his Blair was brilliant, and I didn't like his Kenneth Williams - I think he's brilliant and always admire him but I just don't warm to him.

Example - whoever it was (I forget) who played Hughie Green was far far more sympathetic for me.
The Fat Contoller Is Sheen's performance a characature? I was hoping not.I'm going to see it tomorrow. He was excellent as Blair. The only redeeming feature of that dreadful movie 'The Queen'. Helen Mirren's biggest mistake in an otherwise flawless career. She should never have done it!
JK2006 Terrific film - my God, what a year for movies.

Frank Langella is fantastic and my vote so far for Best Actor.
Kevin Bacon is excellent too.

I have a problem with Sheen. He's so good but I just cannot like him - in almost any role.

I do know Frost, of course, and Sheen is just too superficial to catch him.

I met Nixon once - in the 80s, walking his dog on the East side of New York. Incredible city. We passed and nodded.
