do watch the Portillo programme JK, I think you'll like it (I presume the prog you were referring to in your last post was about the dramatisation).
I do get what you say about her. I am personally hostile to very many of the policies that she introduced but can see what you mean about her as a personality and leader.
The Portillo programme was praising and criticising in equal measure (in my opinion). |

I wasn't that impressed by the show - a trifle one dimensional and full of caricatures.
I found Maggie to be one of the truly great half dozen personalities of the last century.
As I've said, I disagreed with 90% of her policies but looking back, had she still been Prime Minister when the false allegations kicked in against me, I'm 100% sure she would have stepped in and halted the fiasco.
Blair was charming and glossy - and allowed the country to decline into the moral hell hole it now inhabits. |

I'm not into these dramatised reconstructions, but have you seen the programme Michael Portillo made about her, Jonathan?
It's on the i-Player and is very interesting |
