david do watch the Portillo programme JK, I think you'll like it (I presume the prog you were referring to in your last post was about the dramatisation).

I do get what you say about her. I am personally hostile to very many of the policies that she introduced but can see what you mean about her as a personality and leader.

The Portillo programme was praising and criticising in equal measure (in my opinion).
JK2006 I wasn't that impressed by the show - a trifle one dimensional and full of caricatures.

I found Maggie to be one of the truly great half dozen personalities of the last century.

As I've said, I disagreed with 90% of her policies but looking back, had she still been Prime Minister when the false allegations kicked in against me, I'm 100% sure she would have stepped in and halted the fiasco.

Blair was charming and glossy - and allowed the country to decline into the moral hell hole it now inhabits.
david I'm not into these dramatised reconstructions, but have you seen the programme Michael Portillo made about her, Jonathan?

It's on the i-Player and is very interesting
