Locked Out Me too. Thirty years after the United Kingdom decided that what it really needed was "strong leadership" perhaps it's time we realised that what we actually require is simple common sense at the helm. As opposed to the simplistic dogma of the Tory years and the soundbite-driven snake oil salesmanship of the career politicians currently navigating us on a one way trip to Stupidville. Vince Cable's no tough guy. No clunking fist and no Neocon poodle. He's a sound econmomist though, proved right time after time recently. A hung Parliament could well be the best thing that could happen to this country, one in which the Liberal Democrats hold the balance of power. But then, of course, the Libs would need to get their own oily rag, the testosterone-charged Nick "I'm a bit posh but a legendary shagger- vote for me and I'll fuck the country too" Clegg, out of the way before any real good would come of it. Disillusioned? Who, me?
david couldn't agree more, I've got a lot of time for the man.
JK2006 Watching him yesterday I've become convinced he's the only person who understands - let alone cares - what is going on and probably the only person who might be able to do something about it.
