dixie Actually, you're probably right.

But if he could do it live - now that would be talent!

Actually, I thought Ant and Dec are the leaders in that field. Sat Night Takeaway was good this series - except the meaningless "Takeway Prison" feature. Pointless. (Except it wasn't live, so gave opportunities for scene/costume changest etc.
Mike Willis Didn't like it originally but it grew on me as the series developed.

Richard Hammond is a very good host and I found myself laughing at some of his witty one-liners. Very good light-hearted entertainment.
JK2006 Don't agree - he didn't have to be there in person to comment wittily (indeed, I suspect the reason it worked so well was that he wrote his script after seeing the footage). Rather like Harry Hill.
dixie I had a problem with the format. Richard Hammond didn't even see the action. All he did was comontate over the footage filmed in Argentina - from a studio in the UK.

Next time - at least ensure he's where the action is.
giles2008 Its Takeshis Castle without any sharp edges. Its a Knockout where the contestants learn their lines. And its another job for the Hamster so he earns as much as Clarkson. Yes i can see it becoming a feature on Saturday nights as well as European and celebrity versions. Maybe they will revive Its a Knockout next. Now that WAS fun.
