robbiex It didn't look very peacefull to me. There were 122 arrests and it cost the taxpayer £7million and has achieved nothing. Granted the bankers cost us a lot more than that, but 2 wrongs don't make a right.
Vince W Well the people I saw on the news today protesting certainly didn't look like the sort who had any money anyway besides scrounging off the state.

I'd be checking to see how many were on benefits and them stopping them getting any handouts as they obviously have better things to do rather than look for work....
BR Shame that one person died - supposedly of a heart attack ( But that is one effect of TASERS ) so it may be interesting if the coroner is asked to do a report.

The Police certainly got nasty once it got dark - but the media is not broadcasting any of it today. It happened overnight and was covered but today it seems that it is being "blacked out" by the main media.

We live in such a controlled society. There are virtually no protests today. I wonder why ? those who protested yesterday had their names - addresses and photos taken and were told if they turned up today they would be arrested.......not a FREE society at all.

Even in Soviet Russia they may have had more rights to protest if they at least had the paperwork.
veritas Nothing better than some civil disobedience !

The story of vile bank workers waving £10 notes from windows reminds me of the old miner's strikes.

Police used to wave banknotes at protestors to show they were being paid overtime.
BR The RIOT POLICE have moved in - hitting the protesters and so what was a very decent day looks as if it now may turn into a war as usual when the riot police join in. Hopefully no one will get hurt.

Some elements of the Police seem to be hellbent on fighting - and some of the protesters will certainly kick off by the looks.

Nothing actually happened yet but the Police have now upped the stakes.....real shame.
