veritas you are right..almost every Home Secretary has been appaling including the odious Blunkett..crippled in body and crippled in mind.

John Reid..the lot.

Scumbags who love to sound tough as nails but in the end like the hapless Jacqui, brought undone by their own sheer greed and a clueless hubby who can't even pay for his own porn.

And John Major's government got booted out because of sleeze ?
Andy H Incredible isnt it?

The tumbling of the apple-cart was begun not by the work of an activist poet, songwriter, subversive group, public protest, political programmer or filmmaker.

No, the first government tumbling domino was pushed by one unheralded adult filmmaker.

AH
JK2006 All recent Home Secretaries have been awful - since Roy Jenkins (the last decent one I can remember) but none worse than Blunkett ("I wanted to crack open a bottle of champagne when one of the men under my protection killed himself") and Howard (scrapped the laws, enabling false accusers to make lies go back forever with no evidence).

But it's not correct to blame them; difficult job, fair without being foul.

The awful fact is; society is no longer functioning properly; the end is truly nigh as the sandwich board men used to say; democracy doesn't work; the meejah has taken over government with catchy slogan headline politics; we are all going to hell in a handcart.
BR Thanks Veritas

I just hope that whoever comes into the job decides to roll back the surveillance state. If they dont then it will become clear that GORDON BROWN is the prime mover in the Orwellian State - which is quite possible.

I feel that Ms Smith was talentless in all ways. Human rights were bottom of her agenda.

I still think we need a General Election so that the expenses MPs of all parties can be removed from the Gravy Train. We need a total new start.

But for now this will do !!!
veritas well done BR !
I know you had a hand in it.
