Wonderful - the BBC says it has worked despite the FACT that car sales are still falling. The SCRAPPAGE scheme was meant to make sales go positive - it was heralded like a SAVIOUR by Brown and the BBC.

It has flopped badly - even when giving £2000 to people car sales are STILL falling year on year - this shows the RECESSION is getting WORSE not better.

We could see massive massive closures later this year if this continues.

Prepare for 4 million officially unemployed - and the real figure being near 8 million.

With BT and BA both cutting thousands of jobs and the rest going part time.......the future does not look organge !!!

Save money and pay off debt where possible is what the sensible people are doing. We will be hit by massive inflation again for basic services late this year. Food and Transport and Housing costs are in double figure inflation already......luxury goods will continue to fall in price for the rich.
