Well, after I finish Lisey's Story (and I do actually believe Stephen King is probably the greatest living writer) I have rebought Brave New World due to comments on here and intend to reread that.
Plus my friend Lynn Barber's autobiography.
BR - try my Next Chapter after you finish Animal Farm. It's short and can be downloaded from this site.

Not a fan of King either.
I am re-reading classic books this year which I have not read for year.
Have just finished JOHN WYNDHAMS The Seeds of Time ( book of short stories ) and have already re-read War of the Worlds by Wells and 1984 by Orwell.
Nearly finished Animal Farm by Orwell today - a very clever and prophetic book.

Never been able to get into King.
But I can't put a Ruth Rendell down until the last page. Particularly as so many are set in London and often areas you know and are about people you can almost recognize.
I think she's a genius at putting into words the mundane human traits that can lead up to murder most foul!

Oh dear, it's turned VERY nasty (about half way through)...
