DR2 I'm pleased to hear that Peter and Jane are doing fine, JK. I have just been onto Wikipedia and its seems by what they say on there that Gordon died of a heart attack. Sometimes, hearing about my contempories passing away (those who are the same age or just a couple of years older than myself), it makes 1964 seems such an awful long time ago.
JK2006 I had a long and gossipy lunch with Peter in New York a few years ago and he was doing great (I remember him discovering and producing James Taylor when he was at Apple)... a very under rated behind-the-scenes music person.

And his beautiful sister Jane is doing great too.
DR2 Very sad news indeed. "A World Without Love" by Peter and Gordon was one of the first singles I bought in 1964. It was on Columbia DB 7225. It cost me six shillings and eightpence and still sounds as marvelous today as it did an incredible 45 years ago when I was seventeen. What did he die of? I hope Peter Asher is still going strong.
JK2006 Sad news - I've always been closer to Peter (Asher).
Yesterday I was playing Lady Godiva, one of my favourites and written I believe by a young, pre Glitter Mike Leander.
PhilE Just heard of the sad passing of Gordon, the classic'World without love' will remain forever. I am sure JK will have some memories he will share
