veritas I've loved every version of King Kong including the re-make that flopped-but Jackson's version is just wonderful. Naomi Watts is really sweet and Peter Jackson is just amazing-to have come out of New Zealand in such a short time and made a series of the biggest block-busters ever.

I once put in a telephone bid for the original King Kong model when it went to auction in Hollywood-I was sooo out of the race ... I would have loved it.
robbiex I preferred the 1977 remake with Kurt Russell and Jessica Lang. It got panned by the critics when it came out for been tongue in cheek. However how can you make a film about a 30ft gorilla without it been tongue in cheek.
JC I saw it was on tonight but it's already been on ITV at least four times this year and so, despite it being a very good movie, I gave it a miss. I've been having a Bilko evening instead.
JK2006 The remake really is an absolute triumph, even for King Kong haters like me.
