You could go even further back to the 70's with BBC's The Family. Not reality TV more "fly on the wall."

veritas	I suppose the '7 Up' etc shows were really reality shows at their most amazing..the idea of following a bunch of kids their entire lives !!
robbiex	I vaguely remember sylvania waters, however I think that there was a reality show much earlier than this called "The Family", which was a fly on the wall documentary about a family called the Wilkins from Reading. It's not exactly the same genre as Big Brother because it wasn't a competition or game show.
