The medical centre where I work has signs up concerning violence, both physical and verbal. I suspect it's another term we've imported from the USA !

robbiex Don't get bogged down in the semantics of it all. There is verbal violence and physical violence, this was verbally violent.
Patty Violent means 'involving great physical force' and that was not the case here where verbal abuse followed raquet abuse. Though unacceptable, the former is very common and a feature of every sport - usually when the pressure mounts.
mikemacca She's always been an arrogant, graceless, petulant bitch in defeat so is anybody surprised ?
