JK2006 Seems to be working fine; great relief; makes you realise how much we depend on electrical goods.
Innocent Accused A very reasonable price, and from a good company. My mother had their washer/dryer for about the same time scale, jolly good and reliable products.
JK2006 So a few days ago my fridge/freezer blew up.
For a couple of days there were puddles on the floor but it got better. Then it expired.
I said to my cleaning lady "Bloody modern appliances - I only bought it a couple of years ago".
"No you didn't - it was here when I first came".
"Really? How long have you been with me?".
"Eighteen years".

I got a new one - same model, more modern - a Zanussi, online for just over £200 (jolly cheap I thought) and it was delivered today. Seems to be working perfectly.

Dear me, the petty problems of daily life and the anguish of growing old.
