If everyone is assumed to be a paedophile, that makes the attraction normal doesn't it? As normal as eating or drinking or going to the toilet. They can't have it both ways. Everybody does it, so it must be normal or everybody does it, so it isn't normal. I wish they'd make their mind up! |

I note they say he was a sex offender. Today that could mean anything. It's become such a widely applied label, and it need not involve children or even an actual sexual act.
If a bank clerk is found to have a conviction for embezzlement, does that mean that all bank clerks should be banned from handling money? No .. they dismiss that one clerk and the rest carry on as normal.
I had a vegetarian friend who shared a house with what she called carnivores. One day she found a bit of meat gravy had spilled into a vegetarian dish. Her reaction as to throw out the entire dish. I asked her why she didn't just relabel it as meat and vegetable, or even just remove the tiny portion which had been "corrupted" by the gravy? Her reaction was silly and extreme, just like the reaction to the Santa's Elf situation.
