JC I think it started out as just a way for family and friends to keep in touch with what each other were doing each day. The it somehow became popular.

I see it as a kind of challenge. What can we say within 140 words without being boring or mundane, and without resorting to txt spk

btw didn't Roald Dahl write a book called The Twits? Maybe it's all his fault.
veritas it's the most over-rated of the "new media"..boring and infuriating.
The Cat Twitter has one or two entertaining comments, like this quote regarding Children in Need - "A good cause hidden beneath crass self promotion."

I think that sums up the event quite nicely.
BR I love forums - I love networking sites.

I find TWITTER is totally rubbish. It is basically a load of rubbish. I cant see anything interesting has ever been said. It is like a short text message publicly displayed.....there is no point to that unless someone has something to advertise.

It is therefore in my opinion a total SCAM.

Avoid twitter at all costs. It is for Tw*ts as a famous politician once joked.
Cliff marsh Haven't been on this site for a while (back in the days we don't talk about. Great Site. what you up to JK?
