JC	What would staying in the UK achieve? When the Queen does go to such places it's as ambassador for this country, to help maintain international relations, etc. I'm sure she would rather sit at home and watch telly, but she has a job to do - pointless as it may seem to those who don't understand it. Staying here and wringing her hands would achieve nothing.
giles2008	Talk about bad timing. Im sure the Queens thoughts are with the poor washed out residents of Cockermouth and Workington but obviously not enough to pay them a "morale boosting "visit as she currently visiting the filthy rich residents of Bermuda. Whoever let her do this should be fired and if it was her decision then she gone senile and she should go!!
