I love Christmas but it's a sad time now since I spent 62 of them with my Mum.
We often went to church at Christmas, only at Christmas, simply because of the atmosphere.
Not a Christian, not a Muslim, not an Atheist - I'm a Doesn't-Matter-ist, so it's fine for me if and when convenient; not important. |

I love Christmas - but I can understand that it is a horrible time for some people.
Perhaps the answer for those who hate the "season" is to travel to a country where it is not celebrated. There are many out there - I am sure that Travel Agents do this for customers every year.
I am a Christian but I wont be in Church on Christmas Day - so the 13% only reflects the Christians who can make it to a service on the day. I would expect a higher number of people in society actually would claim they are Christians ( The last census will have this figure ) and the Census figure is the only figure that can be trusted ( after all if you answer a question with a lie it is a criminal offence - only questionaire that carries that threat )
Anyway I hope you have a Happy Christmas this year and I do recommend the CHRISTMAS CAROL 3D film at the IMAX if you have one near you. |
