I suppose admitting the problem is the first step in dealing with the problem. So this is some honesty at last about the dire state of UK policing.

We will have to wait and see whether there is the will to sort out the issues.

I still believe the main problem is that ACPO has become a "business" and that the "Justice Model" is based on money rather than what it was intended to do.

We should get rid of all the targets and paperwork for the Police and free them to catch criminals - rather than prosecute innocent people in order to look good on a Home Office graph or report........

The public deserve better than this.
