veritas The Press Gazette has some fascinating facts:

The Guardian hits on it's website were 35.8 million for the year with 12.9 unique visitors the last month. That's more readers than they could ever get with a print edition and shows the power of the internet.

The Mail on Line followed with 31.2 and the Telegraph with 30.8 and so on..

this tells me the trashier tabloids have less readership but are driving government policy with their sensationlism over sex and other sordid tales.

I keep saying it..if politicians had the guts to stand up to newspaper editors they would have the power given to them by the people..instead they take their marching orders from the lowest common denominator.
