Maybe it is not the fault of Agatha Christie but of the way the story was adapted for TV?

I agree JC - I actually went into a deep sleep just as the denoument became due.
I really miss Hastings, Miss Lemon and Japp - plus the superb art deco opening titles and the wonderful theme music.
Perhaps we're getting old.

Did anybody else find this episode very difficult to get into. Maybe Agatha's writing fell off towards the later days, or maybe it's just that the later stories suffer from the absence of Hastings and Japp. I couldn't identify with any of the characters and struggled to stay until the end, by which time I'd stopped caring who did what and why.

We go back to the Theatre Upstairs at the Royal Court nearly 40 years ago.
When he came to New York the only people he knew were me and Bean (read the book).
