BR Why ? is that post horrible ?

Death is not the end for most people of belief. What is horrible is that the people who claim they care about Haiti all of a sudden never helped them before to have decent lives. If their housing had been decent then very few would have died in this Earthquake and very few would have been made homeless.

The major problem there at the moment is the poverty - which is caused by the greed of the developed World.

I believe God cares about everyone and especially the poor. The help pouring into Haiti may make their lives better in the long run - I hope so.
david that's a horrible post BR.
BR Locked Out - there are many things that I dont think we understand as a species.

We are very arrogant and always want everything to fit into a tick box. We want to prove everything beyond any doubt. Life is about faith - we have faith in most things like the driver on the bus or tube today - the chair you are sitting on - the food that you just brought. We have to have some element of trust built into our lives.

Therefore, I trust God to bring out some good from this situation. If it wakes the World up to a poor area where they live in absolute poverty then it is a good thing.

We are too self centred in the West. We fail to see these poor people as our equals. We deny them the most basic standards of living so that we can live in absolute piggery.

Sorry, God is not wrong - it is us. We have let poverty remain whilst stuffing our faces and living in a way that is far beyond what we need. We waste TRILLIONS on bankers and their bets - yet this amount of money would bring the poor countries up to a basic standard of living - we are not prepared to spend it to keep them alive even.

God has not given out the resources of the World - we decide. We have shown that so far we are not very good at it. The World is capable of supporting 5 times the current population with the resources that we have - yet we still have masses of people living on the edge.

This event once again wakes up the World. Those people who have died will have gone to a better place. Death is not the end.

Perhaps God is blessing Haiti

Bloody funny way of showing it.
BR Perhaps God is blessing Haiti - it has drawn attention to the terrible poverty there - and perhaps the rest of the World will wake up and help these poor people. That in itself is a good thing.

Though it is fair to say that we do create our own karma in many ways - judgement by God is left until we die - the bible is quite clear about that. We are not to judge. We do not have the authority to do so - therefore, whenever I see things like this it makes me realise that once again they have not read the word of God.
