Blue Boy Thank you JK

I do hope you will be able to make this a music website again but to do so you will need to reverse the current posting trend.
JC Regarding news. I watch a mix of BBC, CNN, Al Jazera, France 24, Russia Today and Press TV (Iran), via satelite (free - no money given to Murdoch), and so I get several sides to a story, but I doubt that I ever get the full picture. Each news channel seems to follow it's own agenda rather than just reporting the facts.
ReadyTeddy BR, I do find what you say to be thought provoking - and goodness knows we need more of that - but at least concerning this topic what would be the bast way forward?

Speaking for myself, I see television strictly as entertainment (which is what it was designed to be in first place). I don't even bother watching the news as it is just one side of the arguement - and what use is that? Ask the Afghans and they would tell you things that will never be broadcast on the BBC. For my news I catch the 7.30 AM headlines on Radio 2 - just enought to keep me updated. I have given up on newspapers altogether.
JK2006 BR has been asked to limit him/herself to a couple of short posts a day but recently seems to have forgotten this...
Blue Boy BR wrote - "99% of my posts are positive and suggest ways in which we can all improve our lives"

Along with his/her other shortcomings obviously statistics aren't BR's strong suit.

In my opinion the vast majority of BR's posts are negatives, attacking new labour and all the other institutions he/she doesn't agree with. When there is no evidence to support an opinion that doesn't concern BR as it then becomes a conspiracy theory. I wish BR would post something positive which "suggests ways in which we can all improve our lives" but I think that might be a little too much to hope for.

I am so fed up seeing BR's prejudiced posts on this forum I am serious considering not visiting again. I am a music lover and do have an interest in politics - What makes me, and I hope a lot of other people on this board, different from BR is that I have an open mind and am prepared to reach decisions and opinions based on fact. My plea to BR, please take off the blinkers and start using your brain to think and not preach.

I look at the 50 most recent threads on the Tipsheet board and there is a real absence of any meaningful discussion on any current music topic. The one topic that did (and should) have the most attention was the Brits and most of the comments were negative and "they don't make them like they used to"
