I've yet to meet anyone who doesn't like Terry Wogan. His interview with David Icke was brilliant. Tel didn't give him a comfortable time...'They'e not laughing with you David. They're laughing at you!'

I must say though Chris Evans is doing a great job on the breakfast show.

Icke owned him a little in the Wogan Now and Then series a few years ago.
Angel On the subject of Chris Evans, what an annoying little man. Stupid meaningless items throughout and he tends to sing/talk over the music. There was always going to be a backlash for sure, should have been Richard Allinson in my view. When he stood in a couple of weeks back it all made sense to me. Rant over.
Foz The TOGS would say otherwise as they switch off in droves. He is bound to lose a load of listeners in the first few months, but I think he did when he took over Johnny Walker's slot in the afternoon - that became a success. I must admit I can't listen to him - he's too manic. I like the pedestrian quietness of the Today programme in the mornings.

I think Wogan is semi-retiring. He did try and emanate his radio show on TV once a few years ago and I think it was shelved after a couple of weeks. Leave them wanting more.

robbiex I love Wogan, he is all of the things you mention. However I can't see him wanting to go back to a high profile chat show, as he is obviously cutting back on his schedule, leaving the radio show and quitting Eurovision.

Also the bbc would feel that they were going backwards as Wogan used to do a chat show in the 80's-early 90s.
