Metal Mickey In the most complimentary way, The Mentalist is a real 70's throwback cop show - detective with unique schtick solves random case of the week, ta-dah! It (usually) doesn't take itself too seriously, and I like the supporting cast too (Detective Rigsby is a Welshman in real life, BTW.)
JK2006 I adore Monk of course but both are terribly entertaining television.
