Interesting to see how desperate Brown was to hang onto power just a few moments ago. I should have waited 17 more minutes before my last posting, it appears. Unless, of course, it's a conspiracy. I'm sure BR will be able to tell us what the truth is. It's probably something to do with aliens. |

So Brown's off. This is shambolic: not that he's going, but that the two losing parties are going to consider forming a coalition with yet another unelected leader. For god's sake call another election! |

Looks like your analysis is at variance with just about everyone else's, BR. What is certain is that Gordon Brown will not lead the Labour Party into the next General Election regardless of whether it's next month, in October or in three years time. We know it, the commentators know it, the LibDems and the Tories know it, the Labour Party know it and Gordon Brown himself knows it. Only you, it seems, don't. |

Was trying to post a quite a few posts this morning to make up for my lack of posts in March and April........
Things look well hung in Westminster at the moment - and it looks as if BROWN is trying to force a Second Election in the hope that he can stay in power for longer. |

1. ECONOMY Solve the debt problem. Cancel the NI rise. Cut fuel duty. Increase cigerette duty. Increase VAT. 2/ CUT THE POLICE Get rid of PCSOs - allow them to apply to be real Police. Cut the paperwork and release the Police back onto the streets to deal with criminals. 3. CUT THE BIG BROTHER STATE Get rid of ID Cards. DNA only to be retained from CONVICTED criminals restoring the "innocent until proven guilty link" as in all other European countries. Revise the TERROR BILLS. Stop the MCKINNON EXTRADITION. 4. SELL OFF MOST OF THE BBC Radio 1 and 2 especially and News and Current Affairs. Slim it down to a third of its current size. Make the website self supporting. World Service retain only. Welsh Drama and Borehamwood Drama and Bristol and Manchester Drama retain. Reduce License Fee to £52 a year after sell off. £1 a week Direct Debit. 5. EDUCATION Get rid of National Curriculum and SATS. Let schools have more control. 6. NANNY STATE Dismantle immediately 7. EUROPE enforce the rules 8. JOBS FOR THE MATES OF NEW LABOUR Get rid of all "NON JOBS" especially in places like SEDGEFIELD where they all work for the Government as BLAIR's present to his constituency. 9. IMMIGRATION close the doors until housing shortages are over. Once there is no housing list then open them again to those with enough points e.g Spouses - professionals - seasonal workers/ Close them to EU workers as well whilst we have a WELFARE STATE OR we will HAVE TO GET RID OF FREE HEALTH and EDUCATION. Why should UK taxpayers subsidise other EUROPEAN citizens ? 10. ELECTORAL SYSTEM improve it - but no to PR |
