david JK, I shall ask him.

Knowing him as I do, it could have been any reason, i.e. a foreign head of state visiting. but he would still have gone up and got round the rules.
JK2006 Why had the police closed the bridge, David, and why did they let him cycle across it?
david A wonderful short video filmed by my ex, as he was cycling across the Lánchíd (Chainbridge).

The police had closed the bridge but let him cycle across and film it.

I know every step of this bridge as I lived in Budapest for 8 years (5 of them with him).

He plans to make this a series, cycling around different areas of the city.
