How many of these people would STILL be supporting the illegal invasion if it was popular?
Death, destruction and mayhem on a daily basis (anyone notice the other day how the latest Iraqi "election" results are not being released until they are "suitable" ie they say what the coalition (of one) wants them to say !?)
veritas
The Oz PM Kevin Rudd was a fierce opponent of the Iraq Invasion when he was Opposition spokesman on Foreign Affairs when the then PM John Howard went into Iraq without even getting a vote in parliament.
During the general election in 2007 as Rudd was peaking in popularity Murdoch's New York newspaper The Daily News editor just happened to remember he took Rudd to a NY strip club when he was drunk (which backfired spectacularly when the public saw the church going Rudd as a bit more human)
At the time the Green's Leader Bob Brown said :.
"Four years ago Kevin Rudd got drunk and took himself into a strip club,"
"Four years ago John Howard, sober, took Australia into the Iraq war.

ITK is always rather sceptical when people suddenly "convert" when it is politically expedient to do so !!!
