veritas very sad he died of course but I never really warmed to him as an actor.

I know a producer who had a long talk to him once on the set of the disastrous 'Day They Called It a Night..where he played Frank Sinatra.

He was telling of how Rock Hudson always bought presents for all the young good looking crew on the set of Giant.

My friend was asking about James Dean who Hopper appeared with in Dean's movies when he was very young and good looking. He said his eyes would tear up at the mention of Dean. Perhaps the rumour they were lovers is true. Maybe now we will hear about it.
