In The Know I agree entirely.

The "row" between the US generals (and a US diplomat recalled to the USA - not to be confused with the US general Chrystal also being recalled) is because the diplomat wanted to instigate talks with the Taliban and (rightly) said that any other course would fail.

Perhaps someone should refer the USA to Northern Ireland's recent history ?
BR Cameron needs to pull us out NOW - not wait around.

We need to save money.

Sorry LIB - CON : But increasing VAT to 20% whilst fighting a war which no one wants is a massive mistake.

We need to get out of Afganistan NOW and keep taxes down.

There is no military reason to be in Afganistan. If the TALIBAN take it over again then so be it.

300th (British) death achieved this morning.

Shall we start a lottery to "select" candidates for the next 100 - just to get the point accross ?
