BR Organic food is pretty good and if you live in or near the country there are plenty of decent farm shops.....I agree that much of the industrial stuff is very suspect.

UCL are now saying there is mounting evidence for a NATIONAL VITAMIN D programme ! This is quite a new thing and at last our scientists are admitting there is a massive problem in the UK with this deficiency.

I have improved my life 100 times since starting taking D3 ( Solgar ) and now take 2,000 IUs a day which has banished my back problem completely and when at festivals the other week I could jump around for the first time since the mid 1980s......stunning !!!

If you have not yet got yourself onto D3 then it will be the best thing you will ever do in terms of diet. Remember that Sun creams stop you from getting D3 ( they block everything ) and many people dont get enough D3 through sun exposure in any case. Medications often lower your D3 as well - check with your doctor.

D3 and Vitamin C are the main building blocks of immunity - a good diet and other supplements if you dont assimilate certain vits etc are also worth considering.

Almost every week there is a new study showing that D3 is THE supplement to take. Especially if you are pregnant or suffering joint or back problems and if you are over 40.
BR Exactly - if you live in the countryside the only time you would need to top up like this would be the November - February months or if you are medication that depletes the vitamin.

For those of us who work in big cities behind computer screens or in dark venues then D3 is the best thing we can take to supplement our diet.

I am jealous of those who have land in the countryside !
