A school in Leicestershire has banned parents from attending its sports days - as it cannot guarantee they have undergone police checks.

A father was asked to leave De Lisle Catholic Science College, in Loughborough, when he went to watch his 12-year-old son.

A father had to stand 30 feet away behind a fence after phoning the school to ask what time the events kicked off, but upon arrival was asked to leave.

The father was understandably 'upset' and felt like a criminal.

The school has said it is 'reviewing its security procedures'.

This shit is still going on some eight years after the Soham murders despite it clearly causing harm and distress to parents and children alike. Time to completely kick out CRB checks on parents, and penalising schools whom alienate the parents of their children, and vice versa.

This is something the government needs to address ASAP.
