Doesn't seem to be getting many mentions from you lot.
Why not?
Don't you agree that PUNK started in New York City at CBGB's?

Well spotted Doctor King...what an excellent thread...with some great people...and no politics...bliss
Martin K Indeed yes.
Watch these spaces, but this thread was created by the Observer retort, that I sent them on Sunday.
All I would say, if you want true new punk, avoid over produced stuff, there are plenty of band on MySpace with genuine ears and attitude.
hidingfromtheterrorists Are there any 'new' punk bands out there worth a listen?
Martin K Thats very interesting to mention Slade on this thread about this era, as they kinda sneaked in, they certainly did not know where they would fit at this time, and I seem to remember they recorded "My baby Left me/ But thats allright Mama", as a medley, and it wasnt a shameful record for a punk, or punkette to own.
But digressing totally away, my mate at school bought Baccarra, "Yes Sir I can Boogie", and we wouldnt talk to him for weeks!
Al I assume you mean punk era. A lot of the songs are not actually punk themselves but were around at the time.

My favourite Punk Rock song by a non punk band was OHMS by Slade (1976)
