It's hard for a tv show these days to maintain a high quality for a number of years... it seems everything that was once 25 minutes must be stretched to a 45-60 format, shows that had an annual run become 2 or 3 seasons a year and invariably those shows are bled dry. Shows that are revived initially with innovation and skill (Top Gear, Dr Who) are hammered to death until what made them so great is diluted and other shows are hammered into something they are not (The Bill for instance) and hung out to dry forever.
veritas
terrific beat-up but Chris Retro is correct.
A show running out of ideas (when they come to Oz to film shows are usually on their last legs)
It had to happen..fun show but it sets out to knock the very cars that the majority of people drive and swoon over the unobtainable.

Last of the summer wine on wheels.

A show running out of ideas as quickly as the general public's attention can be lost (or as quickly as they can smash up Morris Marina's in "comedy" fashion)

A cheap bid to "silence" him - oh yeah?
Great for ratings, great for sales, who loses?
