Prunella Minge What I don't get about Dawkins, as another celebrity atheist, is why he reacts with such smugness to his conclusions. Apart from the rather silly way he seems to think he's the first person to think about such matters (go and read David Hume, mate), he appears so amazingly happy about atheism. Surely it's something about which one is either neutral or else depressed - all of this 'let's advertise atheism on the sides of buses,' etc, just seems plain childish. Claiming to know anything about the unknowable is a Philosophy 101 basic error, but old Richard gets applauded for it. I guess Dumb Britain was made for charlatans like him.
