veritas he certainly owns much of the media but sadly his dream of owning free to air TV stations and the only daily newspapers will not get up with Labor in control under current media ownership laws.

I won't forgive him for monstering Howard's government to neuter the wonderful SBS government station that ran all the best European movies every night so he could have a cable TV station selling them at an exorbitant price.

His dreaded cable network is full of channels regurgiating I Love Lucy and Green Acres !
In The Know Don't gloat too quickly, veritas ... it's not over yet.

Murdoch will probably buy Australia (the bits he does not already own).
veritas Rupert Murdoch's personal baby The Australian and all his city tabloids have been bullying 3 independent MPs to side with his choice of PM, the right wing nutter Tony Abbott.

Today 2 sided with Labor to give the premiership to Julia Gillard which makes her the first elected woman PM.

Labor-76 seat, the Liberal / Nationals 74 seats.

Murdoch's newspapers have demanding they side with their choice. It didn't happen.

Even better-The Greens got 9 seats in the Upper House giving them the balance of power for 8 years. Poor Rupert...
