JK2006 Already bought John; I'm starting on the 6 finalists this weekend.

Sales sent to me on an e-mail - perhaps not the most reliable of sources unlike my music sales updates!
John Self I'm not sure where this figure comes from, JK.

Perhaps the Man Booker Forum, where the user 'bookermt' posted sales figures for the books in the second week after they were longlisted? He said they were "Sales according to bookscan for last week up to and including last Saturday" - not for the entire sales of the book to date. Indeed, if you look at the previous post (by me), this quotes Nielsen figures for the first week of longlisting, and Damon Galgut's In a Strange Room with 189 copies sold. That's a total of 325 copies in two weeks.

I will try to find out the total sales for In a Strange Room from publication to date - anyway, it's clear enough that this will be considerably more than 136.

It's a good book, by the way - why not buy a copy yourself and add to the sales?
JK2006 I see that one of the Booker shortlist novels has sold 136 copies (Galgut)... and the rest not much more. Makes my rather pathetic 500 sales of 65 My Life So Far seem quite impressive! Incidentally I see Used Copies of my autobiography are fetching $98 in America on Amazon.
