JK2006 After several e-mails asking why; he has a very clever and effective contrast use of the personal and impersonal - I, we, he, they - and the three stories marry perfectly. Nothing ever happens as expected; the desire for a dramatic turn doesn't happen when you think it will and the frequent anti climaxes are beautifully observed. A very original and involving book.
JK2006 The first of the six Booker finalists and my review is simply two words - Absolutely brilliant.
