BR I can assure you that I met no one rich or famous in Pentonville - many people I met were homeless on the outside and had to rely on Charities like St Mungos to find them somewhere to live when they got out.

I actually went in there wearing some decent clothes from NEXT that were quite new. I gave away much of what I had to people including the very shirt off my back because they had so little.

It is terribly sad to be fair and I am just telling it as it is - maybe JK can back me up on the fact that most people in Prison are poor from his experiences as well.

Sorry not to be PC - but it is the way it is and that is why Prison is wrong on many levels for most of the people who are jailed.
The Fat Controller An odd reply from BR...he's usually spot on.

How bloody condescending. Very DICKensian.
BR I can imagine it has cheered up alot of people. To be able to meet someone so famous - many of them probably have never had the chance to meet someone like George before because they are mostly poor.

Hopefully he will have learned alot as well. I learned alot in my 8 weeks.
The Fat Controller He's had a great time in prison apparently.

Playing pool, laughing and joking with other inmates and wardens alike.

Must be a tremendous thrill for the inmates to have George Michael wandering up and down the landings.
