I think you know what I mean .... that ever since the late 60s the teenagers have been devoid of any real interest in anything other than themselves !
Locked Out "Where were they when we were invading Iraq and Afghanistan ?"

Chronology, old chap,chronology...

Today's 18 year olds would then have been 9 when the UK and the US invaded Afghanistan.

And 11 when they invaded Iraq.

The young man at the top of the thread would have been either 6 or 8 depending on which military campaign you appear to expect him to
have protested about at the time {unless to for some reason he's exempt from the rather large blanket group to which you are generically referring }.

I think a lack of political consciousness at those ages can perhaps be excused.

The older ones currently protesting probably were similarly protesting about the military adventures contemporaneously. But you're not citing them.

I just love that there is a young generation that are still passionate about anything as this kid seems.

I'm on record, veritas, for having previously chided the young for FAILING to have any passion, or for failing to get involved in anything !

I'm just rather disappointed that WHEN they do go out and protest - they clearly don't understand the background - and are voting against something that is actually better for them in the long run.

Where were they when we were invading Iraq and Afghanistan ?

Does ITK have a job?

Far too rich and independent for anything so demeaning, Angel !
