veritas live to be a 100 and do so disgracefully.

It's one of the benefits of getting old..being able to tell the bastards to f*ck orf and not give a stuff.

There should be more angry old pensioners I say !

Aubrey de Grey believes that the first person to live to be 1,000 might already be 60 years old. Actually, he said that in 2004, so the first person would already be 66.

It's quite certain that in 10 years time new organs will be grown on demand. Stem cell therapy even cured a man of HIV recently and has already shown great promise as a cure for cancer and Alzheimers.

In 10 years time, smart pills and drugs that are tailor made for your own personal genetic code will also be coming on to the market. Another 10 years and tiny machines the size of molecules will be running around your bloodstream cleaning out your arteries and reparing all the accumulated damage to your cells and dna.

Governments pretty much know that natural deaths will likely be no more within 20 years or so. This is obviously going to radically transform society and pose hugely complex questions for the human race.

But yes, if you keep yourself in good shape, you are almost certain to live to be 100 JK. And if you live to be 100, given the scientific advances most likely that will have been made by that time, you will likely live to be 1,000.

Stay healthy, stay wealthy, and eventually, crazy as it sounds, you'll have the body and looks of your fine 20 year old self again.
BR these days most people I know in their 80s have a very decent life and are active. So I dont see a problem if you look after yourself and are lucky with cancer ( and dont smoke ) with having a decent life up until around 90 to 95....though after that it is bound to go downhill.....

Perhaps some of us will live to be 150 if they find new cures or ways to replace/repair organs.
andrew Would anyone want to live too 100 think about it you lose your back, sight, hearing, lose of your legs etc ? Maybe put in a home having someone to look after you and maybe wipe your shitty arse for you. I like to live past 70.

Watch Harold and Maude.
Angel If its based on where you live I'm doomed. Thought I should post that before ITK does.
