veritas oh the Kite Runner is a superb film. Saw it years ago..time to see it again.

You know films like that were shown every night on the Oz station SBS..at least 3 'foreign' movies from all over the world. A government station with no adverts and just wonderful films like the Kite Runner.

And then Murdoch came along and pressured the government to give him the cable TV rights so he could set up World Movies so that if you want those films you now have to pay him.

Be warned (you listening BR ?)...this is what he wants for the BBC...totally neutered.
