SJB "Mr Singh is accused of touching the girl on the hands, attempting to kiss her on the mouth, kissing her face and placing food in her mouth at the temple."

Sounds like part of a religious ceremony, with maybe a bit of cross-cultural or cross-denominational misunderstanding? Hardly a sexual assault...

The Scottish footballer's case fits the widespread pattern of a female behaving with *ahem* lower inhibitions under the influence of alcohol, then after sobering up regretting how she may have appeared. The false allegations are intended to hide or distract attention from behaviour she is ashamed of, or are motivated by self-deceptive outrage that red-blooded guys could take advantage of her in a threesome - conveniently forgetting that she was a willing instigator and participant. The complainant is 24 so it's high time she grows up and starts taking responsibility for her sexual activities and alcohol consumption at parties. It always seems to be parties attended by (relatively) rich, famous celebrities doesn't it? Hmmmmm.

Seems very minor - and yes weird. Trying to kiss a girl is certainly not a good thing - but touching someone's hand is surely not a sexual assault ?

This is a more standard allegation. Football players are fair game - especially at parties.

"Sex" as a Weapon and any unwanted sexual assault is bad - but many things that are being reported are either pretty ridiculous or false - or consenting relationships with have gone wrong and one person decides on revenge.

Seems the Police have decided it is easier to prosecute "one word against anothers" rather than crimes which need real evidence and witnesses.
