Karmic Bounce Ken, do you really believe that you single-handedly saved one of the biggest components in the Murdoch empire with your 'Bizarre USA' column. Next you'll be telling us that Elvis has been on the phone and wants YOU not Simon Cowell to make him famous again.

Surely your real claim to fame has got to be as the first British celeb to wear a baseball cap long before they were cool and trendy. Just think, if Tommy Cooper had never become famous it might have been a fez instead!
veritas and I was responsible for one of their best and most colourful tales that appeared in the first NoTW colour supplement !

didn't even receive a thank you ..just a hassle with the cheque!
JK2006 I was there - the top columnist on The Sun ("the best f****g thing in the paper" as Murdoch told me on Concorde once); we sold over 5 million copies a day (far more than now).

It was an exciting and dramatic time and saved the newspaper industry from collapse.

In all our rants against News International we tend to forget the good things.
