JK2006 I felt almost like a famous play... I'd forgotten how expensive it is - rather liked a jacket which was very smart, if a bit Arab old regime, but when I saw the price tag... £15,000!

I was there because I found a dozen old Smythson Concorde leather diary sets (I was lucky enough to make 256 Concorde flights and collected a lot of free on board gifts) - all from 2000 - a day out but, I thought, fine for next year (wrong; it's a leap year!).

So I bought a new mid-year Smythson's diary (May to June) to replace the one in the set. Very smart.

I love Smythsons. If you've never been there you should drop by; first class style.
