veritas Dickens caused change in the most subtle way. A radical.
JK2006 an original Life of Dickens from 1903 by Forster and Gissing - I've just finished reading it (some wonderful illustrations) and it's been a total joy. Charles has been my great hero; only 58 when he died. What a huge, huge talent.
