barnthebarn Oh Angela Lansbury - truly great. She was a nomination for a 'portrait bench' by the charity Sustrans (part of the Big Lottery Connect 2 Project) but lost out to other deserving figures...
veritas not so with the Vanilla Sky with Tom Cruise.

after seeing it in the cinema I quite liked it and then came across the Spanish film Obre Los Ojos which also had Penelope Cruze in the lead role.

Crusie's film was a direct copy in every single way but the original Spanish version was far superior.
JK2006 The rule is - cover films don't work. And a major sub clause is - Hitchcock cover films never ever work.
But I loved the Elliott Gould/Cybil Shepherd version of The Lady Vanishes; great story anyway but also great cast - especially Arthur Lowe, Ian Carmichael, Herbert Lom and Angela Lansbury.
