veritas I like the idea that the Doctor is cunningly disguised as a real estate agent from Basildon.
Hamlet I disagree Veritas. Matt Smith is excellent in the role. Eccleston was too much an everyman and David Tennant was like an estate agent from Basildon. However Matt restores a sense of eccentric Englishness to the role.
veritas sadly the current Doctor has put me off the series. He's a good actor but he just doesn't seem to have the 'right panache' for the character (or maybe I'm just jaded).

There is one thing I cannot stand-bloody shows about how a show is made. I watch the stuff because it's fantasy- i don't want to see how the magic is created.
steveimp The Eye have an 'exclusive' this week looking into serious problems in the production camp of Doctor Who.

Despite the show doing well in the ratings here and over the world, the BBC announced tonight that they have green lit 14 more episodes - but no one yet knows just when they will run, with some suggestions saying that the 14 will be spread between 2012 and 2013, which means a serious reduction in the size of the series.
