JK2006 Ooops - Federer out - bang goes my prediction! Fingers crossed for Murray.
robbiex The best games I've seen this year have been Marion Bartoli's last 3 games where she came back from her opponent serving for the match to come up with a victory.

Most of the games involving the top seeded men in the first week are merely a procession. 5 sets is too long between mis-matched players, its merely delaying the inevitable.

I'd rather watch two of the top women players with great personalities play each other than two
no-mark male players that I don't know or care about.
Prunella Minge The women's games have been much more entertaining this time, and even better now that the ludicrous Williams monsters have gone (Serena now looks more like a giant arse with slight human appendages than a normal woman). Most of the men are just tiresome robots. Federer is a great player but he's so pompous these days (what with his monogrammed blazers and other special clothes, I'm surprised he doesn't also have his own personal chocolatier in attendance). It's a pity these days they don't often bother to show the older doubles - they tend to be far more fun and the veterans play with a bit of panache.
JK2006 Answering myself I see sadly this confrontation will sadly be the Thursday semi final so - having to root for one, I select the unlikely Lisicki. She certainly won't out grunt Maria but good luck to her - the Goran of the year. Sharapova is terrific though (and gorgeous).
JK2006 I'm hoping for a Sharapova/Lisicki final actually. Is that possible?
