JK2006 Excellent piece in the Mail today by Max Hastings (next desk to me at Charterhouse) making several good points, admitting numerous mistakes himself, but missing certain central essentials.
JK2006 Getting closer...
JK2006 The best but nastiest paper in Britain sounds off in an accurate but hypocritical way - yes, the Mail has been as bad if not worse; just better at concealing behaviour. Dacre has got thoroughly bored by being an Editor (as has Rusbridger at The Guardian). All the media is as bad as each other (and we - the out of control online hacks - are worst of all; at least print and terrestrial media hasn't yet started wars and "revolutions"). Pandora is having a ball. The Mail may yet live to regret its holier than thou attitude. Steve Wright is not just a DJ.
