The EU has expanded asset freezes and travel bans to take in five more military and government officials.
It brings the number of people targeted by the EU to 35, including President Assad.
The UN Security Council is set to discuss the worsening violence in Syria later after a request from Germany, diplomats said.
Britain, the US and Russia are among the countries that have condemned the violence.

The reason that tyrants like this think they can get away with it is that we have not been forceful enough in the past.
We should eradicate Gaddafi in the next 48 hours ... then we'll see how keen Assad is to join him.

For those who say "its an internal matter" / "its none of our business" ... I ask this -
WHEN will it be our business ?
Should we have stayed out of Kosova and allowed thousands more to die ?
Should we have stayed out of WW2 and allowed millions more to die ?
WHEN DOES IT BECOME OUR BUSINESS ??? |
